ACWP (AcceptedWithoutPosting) means the beneficiary bank has accepted the payment from its correspondent but has not yet posted it to the beneficiary's account. It usually progresses to ACCC (credited) within minutes to a few hours. If it sits at ACWP for over a day, ask the beneficiary to check with their bank — the account may need extra information.
ACWP is one of the standard ISO 20022 / pacs.002 status codes. It signals that the funds are at the beneficiary's bank, screening has passed, but the credit hasn't hit the customer ledger yet. Common reasons for the delay: end-of-day batch posting, beneficiary account requires manual review, holiday in the beneficiary's country.
On Ohmyfin you'll see ACWP appear on the live status track once the last correspondent has handed off to the beneficiary bank. The next status is normally ACCC (Accepted, Credit Settlement Completed) — that is when the beneficiary actually has the money.
