PayPal International Transfer Tracker — Status Guide
PayPal's cross-border money-transfer service is operated by Xoom (a PayPal company). There is no public tracker — every status check requires the sender's PayPal sign-in. We explain every status word and the exact path to find your transfer.
How to check your PayPal transfer
PayPal does not offer a public lookup by reference — a transfer's status is only visible to the signed-in sender inside PayPal's own app. We can't fetch it for you, so here is exactly where to find it, plus the meaning of every status further down this page.
What each status means
| Authorised / Funds received | Provider has confirmed the sender's payment and queued the transfer. |
| In progress / In transit | Provider is processing or routing the funds to the receiver. |
| Ready for pickup | Cash transfers waiting at the agent for the receiver to collect. |
| Delivered / Received / Completed | Receiver has the funds in their account, wallet or cash in hand. |
| Action needed / Held | Sender must take action — usually ID upload, source-of-funds question or payout-partner outage. |
Frequently asked questions
Can I track a PayPal transfer anonymously?
No. PayPal status is only visible to the signed-in sender or receiver. There is no public lookup-by-ID service.
What is the difference between PayPal and Xoom?
Xoom is PayPal's international money-transfer brand. PayPal-to-PayPal transfers happen inside PayPal; cross-border cash and bank deposits use Xoom under the hood. Your PayPal sign-in works for both.
My PayPal cross-border transfer is delayed — what now?
Sign in to paypal.com → Activity → click the transfer. PayPal usually shows the exact reason (verification needed, recipient hasn't accepted, sanctions review). For Xoom-routed transfers also check xoom.com with the same login.
Is this tracker free?
Yes — the status guide is free and unlimited.
