Wise (TransferWise) Tracker — Status Guide
Wise (the company formerly known as TransferWise) does not publish a public tracker. Status is only visible to the signed-in sender. For Wise transfers that route over SWIFT (typically USD wires from US business accounts), you can additionally track the SWIFT leg using the UETR on OhMyFin — free.
How to check your Wise transfer
Wise does not offer a public lookup by reference — a transfer's status is only visible to the signed-in sender inside Wise's own app. We can't fetch it for you, so here is exactly where to find it, plus the meaning of every status further down this page.
What each status means
| Authorised / Funds received | Provider has confirmed the sender's payment and queued the transfer. |
| In progress / In transit | Provider is processing or routing the funds to the receiver. |
| Ready for pickup | Cash transfers waiting at the agent for the receiver to collect. |
| Delivered / Received / Completed | Receiver has the funds in their account, wallet or cash in hand. |
| Action needed / Held | Sender must take action — usually ID upload, source-of-funds question or payout-partner outage. |
Frequently asked questions
Can I track a Wise transfer without signing in?
No. Wise only shows transfer status to the signed-in sender. The receiver gets an email when funds arrive but no live in-flight status link.
What do Wise statuses mean?
"On its way" = Wise has dispatched the transfer. "Converting" = FX is being processed. "Sent" / "Completed" = the receiver's bank has been credited (or, for cash pickup, ready to collect).
Does Wise use SWIFT?
Mostly no — Wise uses local payment rails wherever possible (SEPA, Faster Payments, ACH). A minority of routes (e.g. some USD business wires) do use SWIFT; for those you can track the SWIFT leg by UETR on OhMyFin free.
